Faith Villapiano

Faith Villapiano is the founder of Midwest HR and Risk Consulting. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, she spent 11 years living and working in Bloomington. She is now based between Chicago and Bloomington, allowing her to serve clients across Central Illinois and the Chicagoland area. Faith brings a strong background in human resources and workplace safety. She holds a BS in Legal Studies and a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management, along with PHR and OSHA-30 certifications.

Faith’s professional experience spans a wide range of industries, including construction, small business, public sector, nonprofit, and start-up environments. She works closely with organizations throughout both the Chicagoland area and Central Illinois, including Bloomington, Champaign, Peoria, Springfield, and Decatur, and partners with businesses across the state and beyond. This broad regional reach has given her a strong understanding of the varying regulatory, operational, and workforce challenges employers face, allowing her to provide customized, practical solutions that align with each organization’s size, industry, and location.

Her career has centered around HR compliance, safety training, and risk management. Faith brings a unique background: every HR role she’s held has combined human resources and safety management, particularly within the construction industry. Faith has developed and led full safety programs, reduced OSHA fines through proactive compliance, and built training materials that make safety simple and consistent. She’s written employee handbooks, designed safety manuals, and helped companies organize their HR systems in ways that promote both compliance and clarity.

Faith has also provided consulting and hands-on support for businesses looking to improve their internal processes. She enjoys helping organizations strengthen their HR practices, set up safety programs, and build structures that protect their employees while keeping operations efficient.

Why She Started This Business

Faith started her consulting business because she saw a real need for practical, straightforward HR and safety guidance, especially for small and mid-sized businesses that don’t have the resources for a full-time HR department.

Midwest HR & Risk Consulting was born out of Faith’s firsthand experience. The first few companies she worked for were too small to justify a full-time HR position, yet the need for HR and safety support was constant. In contrast, the larger corporate environments she worked in often lacked a real understanding of how HR should function in everyday business. Since Faith has a unique blend of HR and safety experience (two areas that are typically separate roles) she realized that no single job would ever perfectly align with what she wanted to do. That realization inspired her to create a practical solution.

Starting her own business has allowed Faith to focus on what she does best. With a passion for bridging HR and safety, she built Midwest HR & Risk Consulting to make both areas simple, practical, and accessible for business owners. Her goal is to give small and mid-sized companies the confidence to operate smoothly, stay compliant, and protect their people all without the cost of a full-time HR or safety department.
